About
"Wartime diplomacy through one royal woman's eyes"
Atlantic Crossing follows Norway's Crown Princess Märtha, who flees to the United States with her children after the Nazi invasion of her homeland during World War II. There she forges a close, politically charged relationship with President Franklin D. Roosevelt as she lobbies for her country's cause. It's a handsome, stately historical drama, more about drawing-room diplomacy and personal restraint than battlefield action, carried by lavish period detail and a quietly intense central performance. The pacing is deliberate, favoring mood and political maneuvering over spectacle.
the quietly commanding lead performance anchoring a lesser-known corner of WWII history.
you want fast-paced action rather than slow, dialogue-driven political drama.
