About
"A rogue's charm turns antiques into adventure"
Lovejoy follows a charming, morally flexible antiques dealer in the English countryside who scrapes together a living through canny deals, clever cons, and the occasional outright swindle. Ian McShane's rakish charisma anchors the show, which mixes light crime capers with warm, gently comic looks at the antiques trade and its colorful cast of dealers and dodgers. Episodes are mostly stand-alone puzzles or schemes, wrapped in cozy English scenery and dry wit. It's breezy, undemanding television that rewards you with rogue charm rather than tension, best enjoyed as easy weekend viewing rather than must-binge drama.
Ian McShane's roguish charisma carrying every scheme and swindle with effortless charm.
you want serialized tension rather than cozy, stand-alone antique-trade capers.
