About
"A scavenger hunt for treasure and self-respect"
Set in early Soviet Russia, a down-on-his-luck former nobleman learns his mother-in-law hid the family jewels inside one of twelve dining chairs before the Revolution scattered them. He teams up with a fast-talking con artist to track down every chair before anyone else finds the fortune first. The result is a breezy, witty caper full of absurd side characters and sharp period satire, carried almost entirely by its leads' comic chemistry and quick verbal sparring. It moves briskly, leans on charm rather than spectacle, and rewards viewers who enjoy dry, literate humor.
the effortless comic double act between the con man and his reluctant partner.
