About
"A joke-a-minute sitcom that refuses to grow up"
A long-running British sitcom built around Lee, a work-shy, wisecracking man who never quite grows up, and the friends and family who put up with him. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, it moves at a rapid clip, packing in puns, wordplay and quickfire one-liners rather than serialized plot. The feel is warm, silly and unpretentious, closer to a stand-up set stitched into sitcom scenes than a modern character drama. It leans entirely on the cast's comic timing and the sheer density of jokes per minute rather than story ambition.
the relentless rate of one-liners and wordplay delivered with sharp comic timing.
