About
"Rom-com fluff that hides a real mystery"
A brilliant but insufferably narcissistic vice chairman relies completely on his devoted secretary of nine years, until she announces she's quitting to finally live for herself. Thrown into panic, he scrambles to keep her close, and slowly realizes his feelings run deeper than convenience. What starts as breezy office-romance comedy gradually threads in a darker mystery from the secretary's childhood. The tone stays light and funny for most of the runtime, carried by sharp chemistry and comic timing, before shifting into more suspenseful, emotional territory in its back half.
the effortless lead chemistry that turns a bratty-boss trope into genuine, funny romance.
you want consistent tone throughout, since the mystery subplot shifts things noticeably darker.
