About
"Fiction's deadliest games, replayed for real money"
This reality competition strips the violence from Netflix's Korean drama and keeps the games, gathering hundreds of real contestants to compete for a massive cash prize through blown-up versions of red-light-green-light, marbles, and other schoolyard-turned-deadly-looking challenges. Nobody actually dies, but the production leans hard into the show's aesthetic, from matching tracksuits to that eerie set design. It's part social experiment, part spectacle, watching strangers form alliances and betray each other under stress. The pace is brisk and bingeable, though the drama can feel manufactured compared to the show that inspired it.
