About
"A breezy, stylish Christie puzzle box"
Based on an Agatha Christie novel, this three-part mystery follows a young vicar's son and his childhood friend who stumble onto a dying man's cryptic last words and decide to play amateur detective. Set in glamorous 1930s Britain, it moves briskly through country houses, cliffside mansions and a colourful cast of suspects. The tone is light and stylish rather than gritty, with wit and romance woven through the sleuthing. It is handsomely shot, briskly paced, and works best as an easy, entertaining whodunit rather than a deep psychological drama.
the charming lead pairing and gorgeous 1930s production design carrying a fun whodunit.
you want a dense, twisty mystery rather than a light, romantic caper.
