About
"A gentle postwar whodunit with literary charm"
Set in postwar London, this cozy mystery follows a bookshop owner with an uncanny knack for solving crimes the police can't crack. Created by and starring Mark Gatiss, it leans into period atmosphere, dry wit, and old-fashioned puzzle-box plotting rather than grit or violence. Each case unfolds at a leisurely, comfortable pace, favoring character warmth and clever deduction over shocks. It's the kind of show you settle into with tea rather than binge in a rush, built for viewers who enjoy gentle, literate whodunits with a nostalgic period gloss.
the warm, deduction-driven mysteries anchored by a witty, bookish amateur detective.
