About
"A nation's shock, told through ordinary soldiers"
Set during the opening days of the 1973 Yom Kippur War, this Israeli drama follows several young soldiers and civilians thrown into a surprise attack that catches the nation off guard. It moves between intimate family drama and brutal frontline combat, building tension through the chaos and confusion of that first shocking weekend. The tone is heavy and often devastating, prioritizing emotional weight and human cost over spectacle. It carries itself on strong performances and a genuine sense of dread, making the historical stakes feel immediate and personal rather than distant or textbook.
the visceral, ground-level view of a war most outsiders only know from headlines.
you find sustained wartime bleakness and multiple interwoven storylines hard to sit through.
