About
"Grief and healing told through flowers"
Adapted from Holly Ringland's novel, this Australian miniseries follows a young woman raised on a flower farm after a childhood tragedy, using the language of native Australian flowers to unpack buried family secrets and trauma passed through generations. It's slow, lush, and emotionally heavy, leaning on gorgeous cinematography and a strong performance from Sigourney Weaver as the enigmatic matriarch. The pacing is deliberate and the tone often somber, more interested in atmosphere and healing than plot twists. It rewards patience and works best if you're drawn into quiet, character-driven family dramas.
the visual beauty and Sigourney Weaver's commanding, layered performance as a guarded matriarch.
you dislike slow-burn family dramas heavy on trauma and metaphor over plot momentum.
