About

"A cozy, class-conscious summer ritual"

Seaside Hotel follows the guests and staff of a Danish coastal hotel across a series of summers in the 1920s and 30s, as old money, new arrivals, and the people who serve them cross paths over each holiday season. It's a gentle, warm-hearted ensemble drama built on manners, class tension, and slow-burning romance rather than plot twists. The pace is unhurried, closer to a nostalgic period soap than prestige TV, and the pleasure comes from returning to familiar faces, seasonal rituals, and small moments of kindness or heartbreak.

Watch it for

the warm, old-fashioned ensemble charm of returning to the same beloved seaside characters each summer.

Maybe skip if

you need fast plotting or high stakes rather than gentle, unhurried period charm.
