About
"A tender, slow-burn romance for grown-ups"
As Time Goes By follows Jean and Lionel, two former sweethearts who lost touch decades earlier after a mix of war and misdirected letters, only to unexpectedly reunite as middle-aged adults with grown children and settled lives. What begins as a wary reacquaintance slowly warms into a second chance at love. The show is gentle, understated, and quietly funny, built on dry British wit rather than big set pieces. Its pace is unhurried and cozy, carried almost entirely by the easy chemistry between its two leads. It's comfort viewing more than must-see television, meant to be savored slowly.
the effortless, lived-in chemistry and comic timing between Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer.
