About
"Comedy and carnage collide in one convenience store"
Sakamoto Days follows Taro Sakamoto, once the deadliest hitman alive, who retires after falling in love, gains a lot of weight, and now runs a quiet convenience store. Naturally, his violent past refuses to stay buried, and old rivals and new threats keep dragging him back into action, forcing him to fight without breaking his vow never to kill again. The show mixes slapstick comedy with slick, inventive fight choreography, riding on charm, absurd humor, and surprisingly sincere family stakes rather than deep plotting.
the wildly creative, fast-paced fight scenes paired with genuinely funny, deadpan comedic timing.
you dislike episodic villain-of-the-week structure or broad slapstick humor overshadowing plot depth.
