About
"A dumb ad idea spirals into real courtroom chaos"
This docuseries digs into Pepsi's early-90s ad campaign that jokingly offered a fighter jet for 7 million points, and the young man who actually tried to cash in. It traces the marketing stunt, the lawsuit that followed, and the culture-war weirdness the whole saga stirred up. The tone is breezy and nostalgic, leaning on talking-head interviews and archival ads to recreate a goofy pre-internet media frenzy. It moves fast and never takes itself too seriously, working best as a bite-sized curiosity rather than a deep investigation.
the absurd true story of a soda ad campaign that ended up in federal court.
you want serious investigative depth rather than a breezy nostalgia trip.
