About
"Messy, colorful teen life without easy answers"
Set in a Southern California suburb, this ensemble teen dramedy follows a loose group of high schoolers navigating sexuality, identity, and messy first relationships against a backdrop of well-meaning but clueless adults. It jumps between characters and timelines, favoring vibe and vignette over tight plotting, with a candy-colored visual style and a soundtrack-driven energy. The tone swings from broad comedy to genuinely raw emotional beats, sometimes within the same scene. It feels more like scrolling through a lived-in yearbook than a conventional drama, which makes it either refreshingly loose or frustratingly unfocused depending on your patience.
the frank, tender portrayal of queer teen identity rarely handled with this much nuance.
you need a tight plot rather than a loose, vignette-style ensemble structure.
