About
"Cheap sunshine, loud characters, endless holiday chaos"
Benidorm follows a rotating cast of British holidaymakers at the fictional Solana Resort in Spain, mixing package-tour clichés with soap-style running feuds, romances and family drama. It's a broad, sunny ensemble sitcom that leans on class-based comedy, garish outfits and larger-than-life regulars rather than tight plotting. Episodes are easygoing and episodic, the humor is unabashedly silly and sometimes crude, and the appeal comes from spending time with familiar, exaggerated characters you either warm to instantly or find grating. It's comfort viewing meant to be dipped into rather than binged with close attention.
