About
"Tenderness forged in the middle of brutal violence"
Ash Lynx, a teenage gang leader in New York, gets pulled into a dangerous conspiracy surrounding a mysterious drug called Banana Fish that destroyed his brother's mind. When Japanese photographer's assistant Eiji Okumura enters his orbit, their unlikely bond becomes the emotional center of a story that spirals through gang warfare, betrayal, and buried trauma. The pacing is brisk and action-driven, but what lingers is the mood: stylish, tense, and often devastating. It's a show carried by its central relationship and atmosphere as much as its plot, though it doesn't soften the darkness underneath.
the intense, aching bond between Ash and Eiji anchoring a brutal crime saga.
you're sensitive to depictions of abuse and violence, or dislike a heartbreaking ending.
