About
"A drag queen, a kid, an unlikely family road trip"
A struggling drag queen sets off cross-country in a beat-up RV, chasing a plan to save her shuttered club, only to find a scrappy, foul-mouthed ten-year-old stowaway has hitched a ride. What starts as reluctant babysitting turns into a makeshift family road trip, complete with wig changes, small-town gigs, and old grudges catching up with them. The tone swings between broad comedy, glittery performance numbers, and surprisingly tender emotional beats. It leans sentimental and episodic, carried almost entirely by its lead's warmth and screen presence rather than tight plotting.
the lead performance anchoring every mismatched, heartfelt moment on the road.
you find abrupt swings between slapstick comedy and heavy melodrama distracting.
