About
"Cold War paranoia wearing lizard-skin masks"
Alien visitors arrive promising peace and technology, but a resistance movement uncovers their true reptilian nature and totalitarian agenda. Born from a miniseries, this weekly series leans into Nazi-occupation allegory while delivering B-movie spectacle: rubber lizard makeup, ray guns, and earnest speechifying about liberty. The pacing is uneven and the budget shows, but there's a scrappy sincerity to its underdog-resistance plotting and a genuinely memorable villain. It's more comfort-watch pulp than prestige sci-fi, best enjoyed for its campy energy and Cold War-era anxieties rather than polished production values.
the deliciously campy alien villainess who chews scenery in every scene she's in.
you need modern effects or tight pacing rather than earnest 80s cheese.
