About
"Action-romance thriller wrapped around political rot"
A former mercenary soldier, adrift after a botched overseas mission, takes a bodyguard job protecting the estranged daughter of a powerful political fixer. What starts as personal protection spirals into a web of election-rigging, buried secrets, and a captive woman hidden away by the fixer's ruthless wife. It's a glossy, high-stakes Korean thriller that mixes bruising action sequences with a slow-burn romance and political intrigue. The pace is brisk, the visuals polished, and the lead performances carry real charisma, even when the plotting leans melodramatic.
the lead's magnetic performance anchoring both the fight choreography and the romance.
you dislike political-conspiracy plots that lean melodramatic in their back half.
