About
"A familiar heist blueprint wearing new political clothes"
A mysterious mastermind called the Professor assembles a crew of skilled outsiders to pull off an audacious heist inside a mint on the Korean peninsula's joint economic zone, holding hostages while police negotiate outside. This is a remake of the Spanish hit, and it feels familiar in structure: tense standoffs, flashbacks fleshing out each thief, red masks, a slow-burn cat-and-mouse game with a police negotiator. The pacing drags in places and some beats feel like retreads, but the cast commits and the political backdrop of a unified Korea adds a distinct flavor.
the fresh political backdrop of a unified Korean economic zone reframing a familiar heist story.
