About
"Modern soldiers colonize a sword-and-sorcery world"
A mysterious gate appears in modern-day Tokyo, and armored soldiers and dragons pour out of it. Japan's Self-Defense Force pushes back through the portal into a medieval fantasy world full of elves, empires, and magic, led by an unassuming otaku officer who'd rather be reading manga than fighting wars. What follows is a breezy mashup of military hardware versus swords and sorcery, played with tongue-in-cheek humor, harem-anime tropes, and surprisingly detailed tactics. It's popcorn entertainment that leans hard into wish-fulfillment, occasionally pausing for lighthearted culture-clash comedy between soldiers and fantasy-world locals.
the novelty of tanks and rifles curb-stomping dragons and medieval armies in gleeful power-fantasy fashion.
you're uncomfortable with its unapologetic military wish-fulfillment and harem-anime fan service.
