About
"Nordic folk-horror dressed as a missing-persons mystery"
Equinox follows a young woman who starts digging into the decades-old disappearance of her older sister's entire high school class, vanished without explanation on a school trip. As she pulls at old threads, she stumbles into unsettling folklore and rituals tied to the changing seasons. The show leans heavily into moody Nordic atmosphere, cold light, and dread rather than jump-scares, unfolding at a deliberate, brooding pace. It's less about answers arriving quickly and more about sinking into an eerie small-town mystery where the past refuses to stay buried.
the slow-burn Scandinavian atmosphere and folklore-tinged dread that builds steadily across just six episodes.
you want fast answers or clean explanations rather than mood-heavy ambiguity.
