About
"A quiet town's secrets unravel slowly"
A young teacher takes a job in a small Spanish coastal town, replacing a colleague who died under murky circumstances. As she settles into the close-knit community and an odd relationship with her new husband's ex-wife's family, flashbacks reveal what really happened to her predecessor. It's a moody, slow-burn mystery that trades procedural momentum for atmosphere, gossip, and small-town claustrophobia. The pace is deliberate and the emotional temperature stays low-key tense rather than thrilling, so it rewards patience more than adrenaline. Performances and setting do a lot of the heavy lifting.
the slow-burn small-town atmosphere and its tangled web of hidden relationships.
you want a fast-paced procedural rather than a moody character-driven mystery.
