About
"Ancient myth reborn as modern ghost-hunting rom-com"
Loosely inspired by the classic tale Journey to the West, this Korean drama drops mythic figures into modern Seoul: a once-mighty being cursed into a lowly existence crosses paths with a woman who can see ghosts and spirits others cannot. Together they get pulled into supernatural incidents while an old rivalry and unresolved feelings simmer underneath. The tone mixes breezy rom-com banter, jump-scare horror beats, and fantasy spectacle, anchored by charismatic leads and playful chemistry. It's uneven in pacing but stays entertaining through its blend of humor, mythology, and slow-burn romance.
the charismatic lead chemistry and playful clash between ancient myth and modern-day ghost stories.
you want tight, consistent pacing rather than a genre-hopping mix of comedy, horror, and romance.
