About
"Isekai comfort food with zero real conflict"
A salaryman dies and is reborn as Shin, raised from infancy by a legendary sage whose overprotective training turns the kid into an absurdly overpowered mage before he's even a teenager. The show then follows him into magic school, where his power is an open secret and everyone reacts accordingly. It's fast, breezy wish-fulfillment isekai: low stakes, low tension, thin plotting, but pleasant enough as background viewing if you just want a kind hero steamrolling problems without much friction.
the pure escapist fantasy of a protagonist who is never seriously challenged.
you want tension, nuance, or an isekai that subverts its own tropes.
