About
"Disguises that trick real people into self-sabotage"
Sacha Baron Cohen returns to hidden-camera provocation, inventing a rotating cast of outlandish characters (a right-wing conspiracy vlogger, an ex-Mossad agent, a bleeding-heart academic) who talk real politicians, activists, and ordinary Americans into astonishing admissions on camera. Each episode strings together several of these stunts rather than following one plot. It's uncomfortable, occasionally jaw-dropping, and clearly engineered to expose hypocrisy across the political spectrum. The pace is quick and sketch-like, so quality varies segment to segment, but the best bits are as sharp and squirm-inducing as anything Baron Cohen has done.
the sheer audacity of watching real public figures get talked into damning statements on camera.
you find prank-based comedy exploitative or the hit-and-miss sketch structure frustrating.
