About
"Teen politics as apocalypse rehearsal"
A group of teenagers returns from a canceled school trip to find their town completely empty, its residents vanished without explanation. Cut off from the outside world, they must build their own society from scratch, forming factions, governance, and rivalries as resources dwindle and old social hierarchies collapse. It plays like a YA Lord of the Flies crossed with a mystery box thriller, tense and slow-burning, driven by ensemble teen drama rather than jump scares. The eerie premise carries the early episodes, while the back half leans harder into politics, romance, and power struggles among its young cast.
the unsettling premise of a town emptied overnight, forcing teens to govern themselves.
you want the central mystery resolved rather than left as a launching pad for drama.
