About
"Plague-era nobles behaving very badly indeed"
A group of wealthy nobles and their servants flee the Black Death in 1348 to a lavish country villa, expecting a pleasant escape while the world burns. Instead they get power struggles, sabotage, lust, and increasingly absurd disasters. It plays like a bawdy ensemble farce crossed with survival horror, mixing broad slapstick with sudden bursts of real dread. The pace is quick and the tone whiplashes between silly and grim, carried by a game cast clearly having fun with the melodrama rather than any deep faithfulness to its source material.
the gleefully chaotic ensemble cast turning a plague quarantine into a farce of bad decisions.
