About
"A conman's empire built entirely on paper"
This series traces the rise and fall of Abdul Karim Telgi, a small-time con man who built one of India's largest financial frauds by forging government stamp paper on an industrial scale. It follows the same docudrama format as its predecessor Scam 1992, mixing dramatized reenactments with a procedural unraveling of how bureaucrats, police, and politicians enabled the scheme. The tone is measured and detail-heavy rather than flashy, carried by a strong central performance and steady direction, though it moves at a slower, more methodical pace than the show it followed.
a compelling lead performance charting one man's audacious climb through India's bureaucratic underbelly.
you want the propulsive energy of Scam 1992 rather than a slower procedural unraveling.
