About
"Feminist fables told through literal, unsettling metaphors"
An anthology series where each of eight episodes drops a different woman into a surreal, metaphor-made-literal scenario, like being kept on a shelf or having her voice literally eaten, to dramatize everyday experiences of being unseen, exploited, or overlooked. Tonally it swings between dark comedy, magical realism, and earnest drama, sometimes within the same episode. Because each story is self-contained with a new cast, the show feels uneven: some entries land as sharp, unsettling fables, others feel thin or overly literal, so your mileage depends heavily on which episode you start with.
the strong ensemble of actresses committing fully to wildly different surreal, metaphor-driven premises.
you dislike anthology unevenness, since quality and tone shift noticeably from story to story.
