About
"Identity, envy, and violence collide across years"
Mask Girl follows an ordinary, self-conscious office worker who transforms herself online at night into a masked webcam performer, chasing the attention and confidence she feels denied in daily life. That choice sets off a chain of escalating, increasingly violent consequences that reshape her identity and body over years. The show shifts tone hard, moving from dark workplace comedy into thriller and body-horror territory, told through jumps in time and perspective. It's stylish, unsettling, and morally messy, carried by strong performances and a willingness to make its heroine genuinely unlikable rather than sympathetic by default.
the audacious tonal swings and a lead performance that keeps shifting who you're rooting for.
