About
"Loud buddy comedy stretched from a movie sidekick"
A spinoff from the Sonic the Hedgehog movies, this six-episode series follows the gruff alien echidna Knuckles as he's stranded on Earth and reluctantly agrees to train a hapless, overeager human deputy in the ways of a warrior. It's broad, silly, family-friendly action-comedy built around fish-out-of-water gags and training-montage absurdity. The pace is brisk and episodes are short, leaning hard on the mismatched-buddy chemistry rather than plot. It never aims higher than pleasant, colorful diversion for kids and Sonic fans who enjoyed the films.
the deadpan chemistry between a stern alien warrior and his clueless human trainee.
you want anything beyond broad, kid-aimed comedy tied to the Sonic movies.
