About
"Intimate, unhurried honesty about living differently"
Three roommates in their twenties, all on the autism spectrum, try to build independent lives in Los Angeles, juggling jobs, dating, and an aide who helps them navigate daily friction. Created by Jason Katims, it favors warm, observational drama over big incident, letting small moments of awkwardness, hope, and frustration carry each episode. The pace is gentle and the humor is quiet rather than broad. What makes it land is the specificity and care in how it portrays its leads, avoiding both saccharine uplift and pity.
the lead performances, which give autistic characters interior lives rarely shown with this much nuance.
you want fast plotting or big dramatic swings rather than quiet character study.
